Managing ongoing operations and the value chain of an organization is a key for better performance. As the supply chains of partners are interconnected, understanding management configuration, processes and practices, how they are integrated, how they can provide a better visibility, how to facilitate collaboration and improve adaptability among the partners, are the inputs to mobilize resources and competencies to create competitive advantage and other sources of value. As resources are easily shared by many organizations, the organization’s competencies are the most important relevant driver and are at the source of competitive advantage and the creation of value.
The main objective of the programme is to facilitate the dynamic development of participants' managerial and entrepreneurial competencies, allowing them to enlarge their expertise, and to work as manager and leader in the management of operations, supply chain, organisation, performance, and international and multicultural environment.
Three main dimensions characterise the competence of a Supply Chain manager: Knowledge and Skills, Personal Characteristics, Experience and capacity to learn, adopt and adapt.
Thus the programme has three dimensions:
1. The contents of the modules present all the knowledge and skills to be acquired as well as the personal characteristics to be developed;
2. Work on internal projects and internships contribute to developing and
to improving professional experience and, individual and team performance;
3. The professional thesis integrates these dimensions and demonstrates the students' capacity to apply knowledge reflectively and learn to learn critically
Learning Objectives
This course aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain Management through the development of knowledge, skills and expertise in the subject. The educational experience also aims to develop participants’ intellectual and personal skills and their capability to undertake a practical research study and publish its results.
The specific course aims are:
1. To provide a framework in which students develop an in-depth understanding of Supply Chain Management and the different ways it contributes to competitive edge/advantage, wealth as well as the advancement of society.
2. To provide students with a range of knowledge, tools and skills and the ability to use these in a variety of operational & entrepreneurial situations through “learning by doing”.
3. To develop the students’ abilities to think analytically in order to successfully apply their knowledge and technical expertise to the solution of real business problems.
4. To support and encourage students to develop their individual managerial and research capabilities in order to equip them to become the effective Supply Chain Manager and change agents of the future

* Develop a focused and disciplined approach to developing and implementing plans and controls of systems in auditing, management accounting, and information systems;
* Make balanced decisions, implement policies and find solutions on the basis of either complete or incomplete information;
* Conceive, cost, plan, resource, and manage complex projects and programmes in auditing management control and information systems;
Key / Transferable Skills (TS):
* Appreciate the roles, manage and utilise the services of employed consultants and contractors;
* Effectively lead and motivate individuals, and project, programme or portfolio teams to achieve organisational goals;
* Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, using a range of media and work effectively in groups.

Dr. Negar Armaghan is professor and programme director of two Masters: the Master of Science in Supply Chain Management and Purchasing and the Master Spécialisé in Management de la Chaîne Logistuque ? Achats. She has a PhD in Industrial System Engineering from the Institut National Polytechnqiue de Lorraine - Nancy University, France. Her research is focused on Knowledge Management and Case-Based Reasoning. She has taught Quality, Project Management, and Knowledge Management in several universities in France: INPL, Ecole de Mines de Nancy, Université Henri Poincaré; and in Germany: University of Kaiserslautern. She has also worked as a researcher in Numalliance Company.

In order to apply for a one-year MSc program you must satisfy the following requirements:
* Four-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Honours degree or substantial professional experience).
* English language test to prove a minimum level of English: TOEFL 580 (paper-based), 237 (computer-based) or 92 (internetbased) / TOEIC 830 / IELTS 6.5.The test is waived for students who have a Bachelor’s degree from an English speaking university.
* A GMAT or GRE score will be to the candidate’s advantage.

Teaching strategies
The Master of Science (MSc) course duration is 18 months (90 credits ECTS)
For 12 months, the educational rhythm alternates between one week/month of seminars and pre and post course work and three weeks/month in company.
Then for the next 6 months, students complete their professional thesis, and do a full-time internship.
The programme combines a wide range of pedagogical approaches in order to foster the personal and professional development of the participants. They include lectures, on-line support, public speaking, group dynamics, confrontations, and participative methods.
Real-life case studies: newly acquired skills are used to work on real case studies and teams work closely with top management to analyse the industry, company, and specific strategic issues. Then they recommend action plans, and implementations.
